Terms
of use
What you agree to when you use Llyr. It is a filming and measurement tool, not a coach and not a medical device. It runs on your phone, it can be wrong, and you decide what to do with what it shows you.

1. The short version
Llyr films you swimming and measures what one phone camera can honestly measure. It is not a coach, it is not a medical device, and it can be wrong. You decide what to do with anything it shows you.
The analysis runs on your phone. There is no Llyr account and no Llyr server, so we hold none of your recordings — see the privacy policy.
Using Llyr means you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use it.
2. Who these terms are with
Llyr is produced by Llyr Labs ("we", "us"). You can reach us at contact@llyrlabs.com.
Llyr Labs is the publisher of Llyr. To reach us about anything, including these terms, write to the address above.
3. What you may do with Llyr
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Llyr on devices you control, for analysing your own swimming or the swimming of athletes you coach.
You may not: resell or sublicense the app; decompile or reverse engineer it except where law permits; present its output as a medical, diagnostic or safety assessment; or use it to film people who have not agreed to be filmed.
That last one is yours to get right, not ours. Llyr never sees your footage, so we cannot check consent for you, and pools are full of other people's children.
4. Your footage and your data stay yours
You own everything you record and everything Llyr measures from it. We claim no licence over any of it, because none of it reaches us.
You are responsible for keeping your own copies. Llyr stores sessions in the app's private storage on one device: uninstalling the app, wiping your data from inside it, or losing the phone removes them, and we cannot recover any of it for you.
5. What Llyr does not claim
Llyr reports what a single camera can support and refuses claims it cannot. Those refusals are deliberate and are listed in the app under Legal. In particular Llyr does not measure force, drag, propulsion or left/right asymmetry, and it cannot see a joint that is under water.
It can be wrong. Detection depends on light, angle, distance, water surface and the phone. On some clips Llyr will find nothing at all, and on some it will report something that is not there. Treat every correction as a second opinion to check against the video, not as a finding.
It is not medical advice. Llyr is not a medical device. It cannot detect injury, condition or risk, and it is not built to try. If something hurts, ask a doctor or physiotherapist.
Think is performance training, not treatment. Llyr's Think sessions are guided breathing, imagery and pre-race routines for swimmers, done on land, sitting or standing, away from the pool edge. Llyr is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional before starting any new training or breathing practice.
It is not a coach. It does not know your event, your session, your history, or what your coach is working on with you. Where Llyr and your coach disagree, your coach has information Llyr does not.
6. Safety
Swimming and training carry risk, including drowning. You are responsible for deciding whether to act on anything Llyr shows you and for training somewhere appropriately supervised.
Never use the app in a way that takes attention off a swimmer in the water. A phone on a tripod is not a lifeguard and neither is the person looking at it.
7. Llyr Pro subscription
Filming is free. Analyze, live or on an imported clip, needs a Llyr Pro subscription, sold through Google's Play Store as a monthly plan. Google processes the payment under your Google account; Llyr never receives your card details. These terms apply to it:
- The price, billing period and renewal terms are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. Cancel any time through the store; cancelling stops the next renewal and does not shorten the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled by the store under its own refund policy.
- A subscription is bound to the phone it was bought on. It does not unlock Llyr on another phone, even under the same Google account, and uninstalling Llyr or clearing its data unlinks it from that phone; manage or cancel it in the Play Store.
- A paid feature never changes what Llyr is willing to claim. You cannot buy a more confident answer.
8. Age
Llyr is for ages 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13. A swimmer under 18 should use it with a parent, guardian or coach — not because of what Llyr sends anywhere, but because it is a camera on a pool deck and its output is a second opinion rather than coaching.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone of any age, which is a consequence of the design rather than a promise about our intentions: there is no account, no server and no sign-in. See section 6 of the privacy policy.
9. Liability
Llyr is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost recordings or session history, or for any decision you or a coach make because of what Llyr showed you.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this section.
10. Ending this agreement
You can end it at any time by uninstalling the app. Your data goes with it; there is no account for us to close.
We may stop distributing or supporting Llyr, or a version of it, at any time. Because the app runs entirely on your phone, a copy you have already installed keeps working until you remove it.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do, and the current version always lives at this address. A change that materially reduces your rights will be flagged in the app before it applies to you.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Philippines, where Llyr Labs is based, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim in your own courts.
